No terrible food. BUT... don't waste your money on a lunch combo. You're here for sushi, so just get rolls. I can't really speak to it because we ordered the lunch combo thinking it was a deal. But, here is what you get... 4 slices of sushi... not even a whole roll, a salad... which is ALL lettuce, a cup of Miso soup which is tasteless, and whatever your #1 choice was. Most of us got tempura... which was good, but meh. So, if you are in the area and choose them... just get rolls. AND... they don't advertise this, but it is carry out only. They literally have half of their space just sitting there looking pretty. Come on people, you are like the only restaurant around that isn't letting peopl...
The food at this restaurant is not terrible, but I would not recommend wasting your money on the lunch combo. The sushi rolls are the highlight here, so stick to those. We made the mistake of ordering the lunch combo and were disappointed with what we received - 4 small slices of sushi, a salad that was mostly lettuce, tasteless Miso soup, and our choice of main dish (we mostly chose tempura, which was just okay). It's best to just stick to the rolls if you decide to dine here. Additionally, they only offer carry-out service, which was not advertised. It's disappointing to see half of their space unused when they could at least provide some outdoor seating for customers. It would be nice to...
This restaurant is casual, family-owned, and very friendly. The rolls have odd names, but they are familiar nonetheless. I deducted one star because the sushi is pre-cut, which seems unnecessary given that the restaurant is not very busy. As of 5/24/22, they are offering takeout only. I usually enjoy sitting at the sushi bar while dining, so I miss that experience with the takeout-only policy. The quality of the food has always been good, so I will definitely return once they reopen for indoor dining.
Casual, family owned, and very friendly. Odd-named rolls, but familiar none the less. Minus one star for pre-cut sushi. It's not that busy that the chef has to cut sushi prior to ordering. Update 5/24/22 Takeout only!!! I enjoy sitting at the sushi bar when dining on sushi. This experience is lost due to the takeout only policy. The quality was never an issue. I'll be back once they've reopened to inside dining.
