I used to enjoy dining at this restaurant, but the last two times I ordered takeout during the pandemic, I have been disappointed. The salmon in my salmon roll last night was tough and chewy. I requested a shrimp tempura appetizer, but it was given to me inside a roll. Moreover, I was very concerned to see one of the sushi chefs wearing his mask around his chin and even calling out to a woman in the kitchen without properly wearing it. He kept his mask below his chin the entire time I was waiting, which was five minutes, while preparing sushi. Shoyu, you have lost my business for good.

Edamame was perfectly seasoned and firmness was on point. The portion was generous. Mountain roll was fresh, neatly prepared, a good combination of flavors, . I got the curry chicken and it was not so good. It was soupy, the amount of non sauce ingredients such as chicken and potatoes were scant and cut too tiny. I reluctantly finished my meal and disappointedly skulked away from the table. Note to self--don't order that again.
Good sushi, quiet spot.However, despite its posted closing time of 9:30pm on Fridays, my date and I were rushed and pressured to leave by 8:50. Our waitress actually became rude and borderline aggressive about it, dropping the check while we were still eating, and then returned to our table three times before I could pay. This nonsense was reflected in her low tip and the fact that I'll never return.

I ordered the salmon teriyaki bento box for lunch, and I must say it was excellent. The meal came with soup, salad, salmon, rice, a California roll, 1 Shumai, 1 dumpling, shrimp tempura, and vegetable tempura. All of this for only $20 - what a great deal! My boyfriend ordered the tonkatsu meal, which was also quite large and filling.
When I showed up to this joint I saw that the sashimi combo was way cheaper then it ended up being. The price they rung me up for was almost double and I didn't realize until I was way too far away to turn around. Buyer beware their prices do not match the menu.
The place is great and broad, the meals was delightful and the rates were very fair. quick, efficient service and very amiable staff members. I recommend this place.
The place offers a large range of fresh food. I like dining here. Employees are always very kind, rates are convenient and the place is always kept clean.
