I called to make a reservation and they told me they had 5pm of 7pm available. I selected 7pm. We arrived a little before 7pm but couldn't get through the door because there was a line/crowd and no one at the hostess stand. Then, they started to call me at 7pm so I pushed my way to the front to tell them we were all there (the whole party) but couldn't get in. They told us to wait one moment while they got our table together. We were finally seated 30 minutes later but only given 2 menus for a party of eight. 15 min passed before someone came to ask if we had any questions about the menu. I told them no, we were ready to order. They asked us to wait one moment and left for another 10 min. Af...
This is one of the only places that has been in business forever and has not sacrifice on the quality of their food to make an extra buck. The regular sashimi boat I received was premium, a couple notches up from Azumi(in Baltimore) and comparable toToro in DC. The inside atmosphere is a little fancier at the city sushi restaurants metioned, this location was nice with aview overlooking the lake. The rolls were different from other restaurants and unique. My favorite was the Black Snapper whichis the whole fish prepared sashimi and Nigiri style. Totally amazing!!! There are always 4-5 attentive friendly servers tendingto your table. This place is definitely worthy of a sushi date night.
The definition of a solid three star place, food was adequate....it's a by the numbers menu with a paint in the lines execution. I could easily bash this out myself. Sushi was supermarket level, chicken teriyaki was chicken drenched in sauce. Salad dressing was weird. Overall presentation was poor. Wait staff were hovering trying to clear plates as soon as we finished, made us feel unwelcome. The location is really pleasant though, by the water. Other than that not sure why anyone would visit this place multiple times. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
I haven't been in many years since King and Amy were the owners. I went back recently and it's still good, but not quite as good as I remember. The fish is still good, but not the top quality I remember. Uni is always my freshness test, and it'sdefinitely not as good as it used to be. I could tell the tempura ice cream is made differently as well. The classic SushiSono staple rolls were still great. I always recommend the Dragon Roll and Bridal Veil.

Excellent! Enjoyed a shrimp tempura dinner at Sono recently. Literally everything was perfect. Tempura was light and flavourful. Miso soup was very tasty as was the steamed rice. I checked out what the other guests were having and everything looked great.Service was very friendly and attentive. Overall 5*. Thanks for a great meal.
I am not a sushi person, but my daughter and her friend wanted it. The ambiance is amazing with gorgeous lakefront views. The food was high quality and served in a visually appealing way. Service was impeccable. I recommend.

The sashimi quality is really good we ordered way too much food but it was worth it definitely will come back again
