I buycoted this place about years ago after having food poisening from the Salmon. My husband still takes my kids there even when I say do not do this, they will eventually get sick . The owners hygeine is terrible, he always stands by...the till picking his nose, rolling his bogeys and then flicking them (I know this because sometimes I go into to meet my kids and husband when they eat). I find it repulsive. Anyway, low and behold my husband took my daughter in on Saturday and she ate something that gave her food poisening again. I took my son to Grilld down the rd and we were fine. My husband ate sushi but didnt eat this pork gyoza that my daughter ate. She was the only one who was sick in...
We dropped in here for a quick bite before a movie. I liked the polished wooden seats, they certainly uplifted the look of the restaurant.
The ipad ordering system here works well allowing you to see the progress of your order.
Because we ordered items rather than taking anything off the train we enjoyed our freshly made sushi items, however flavourwise we have had better and there was too much mayonnaise. There was also some inconsistency in production, with our seared salmon sushi being better seared than our seared scallop sushi.
Overall we enjoyed our meal, but this is not one of the better sushi trains out there.
Some sushi on the conveyer belt looked old and falling apart. The dishes we tried were average. We ordered a chicken and egg noodle soup. I have never tasted something so bland. Tasted like a watered down stock, some packet noodles with a funky flavor...and the chicken had every last piece of flavor boiled out of it. The complete turn off was their sushi rice container they had the lid half off and could see flies going into it, completely disgusting and ended up walking out and leaving the garbage food behind. Don’t bother with this place.
I have just left this sushi station where I was appalled by.. No entry or exit management for Covid No QR or sign in. No sanitser. No at all. Owner was rude when I asked upon leaving why there was...nothing for contact tracing ? He never commented just took my cash for payment and moved off. The food is stoggy we had a rice dish. QLD rates itself highly on Covid but it's not a patch on NSW. Last time I eat out until I see something with regulations.

I have visited this place or times. the last experiences were disgusting and i kicked myself for giving them another chance. The oil they deep fry with is dirty and black it burned all the food cooked in it. I felt ill...after eating. The last time the curry had separated tasted wierd, looked a week old, served with a warm can of coke. the guy in charge just said sorry and hurried me to the register to rip me off. AVOID AVOID AVOID
excellent value for money and it's impossible to leave hungry - they do not cut on quality or quantity, this is a local haunt for us, I think it's pretty safe to say everything on the menu is excellent. I think I've been convinced now to buy a blow torch and home to try and mimic their aburi. everything is made fresh to order in front of you. this is an example of a restaurant doing things right!!
Good variety of sushi. The ordering system is great and we got our food very quickly after we ordered it. The sushi was fresh and tasted great. The staff were very friendly and service was prompt. My partner and I will always drop in here before or after a movie.
Ordered a lychee bubble tea. Good size, good price, nice tea flavour but the tapioca pearls were TERRIBLE. In my mind that’s the best part. I’ve had a lot of bubble tea from many different places and I have never tasted pearls like that before....Not good at all

Haven't been here in a while but have frequented sushi train Bulimba over the years. Have gotten food poisoning here once and 4 other people I know have as well. Would not recommend.
One of the best places for trying sushi. So tasty and fresh! Ordering on iPad makes it super easy! Will definitely visit every time I go to the cinemas.
