We had a nice experience at Sushi Yasuda. A splurge for sure but the ambience was pristine, the service was quick and the sushi and sashimi was among the freshest we've tasted. My partner ordered the 15 piece omakase and I ordered the 12 piece 3 piece sashimi, which came out a little cheaper. We also ordered another Umi handroll and the mochi. The omakase was quite good but truthfully we couldn't distinguish from one piece to the next the flavors all blended together whereas some other omakase experiences may try to enhance each piece with a different flavor. Perhaps it's because I'm not an afficiando. But we did enjoy every piece. Likely won't return as it was quite pricey and there are too...

No many how many times I go they still manage to keep up their high standards. Amazing place with quality ingredients. This place is by no mean cheap but for an omakase in New York it is quite reasonable price and their is no need for tips at this restaurant either. If you can try to reserve seats at the bar. A few minutes from the bar to table could make big difference in taste and temperature of the sushi.

I’m very picky and particular with food, and restaurants, Sushi Yasuda was a good, but not the greatest. The restaurant was very clean and Japanesy, but the service not so much. Omakase wasn’t so excited, was kind of as you ordered a sushi plate, no tsukemono or misoshiro was included. The fish it self was good, but the expectations are high when you go to a Michelin star.

I went for their omakase 12. If it was priced below $80 I would say it is a good deal. Food was good but as a Michelin star restaurant which charge $100 for 12 sushi I would expect a 'wow ' when I put them in my mouth. Honestly I didn 't feel that wow. Maybe my expectations was high.
