Sushi-Zen Japanese Restaurant

Came in for Sunday dinner for two at 7:30 and found a VERY long line of customers for Take Out Pick up ... but a few empty tables in the restaurant for dining. The 3, sometimes 4 servers were VERY busy as were the 5 Sushi Chefs behind the counter. One server was dedicated to just filling the take out orders, a second to processing the payments, leaving the rest of the dining room to just 2 other colleagues. We were offered a 2 top table and accepted it which was a mistake! The table is simply TOO SMALL for all the glasses, plates and dipping sauces! We had 2 large glasses of water, 2 large glasses 1 Kirin Ichiban can of beer, a single tray for 1 California Roll appetizer, 2 bowls of Miso sou...

Popped in for late lunch. Right away noticed how clean fresh everything is, from the front to the server area, and even the restroom(s). Since I was cutting it close before afternoon closing (2:30), I had called ahead and my order was ready for dine-in. Simple for me today: lunch special, 3 rolls (California, tuna salmon). Simple turned out to be SPECIAL--because everything was so delicious, so perfect in it's own little way. The fish itself was very fresh and just the right temperature. But it doesn't end there. My Japan-born raised wife always says that no matter how good the fish is, if the rice isn't right... And that's so true here: each bite so delicious, full of flavor texture And not...

Kids rolls with miso soup were TINY portions. Literally maki roll half width and cut in half. Also- Tiniest soup ever. Raibow roll was also tinyyyy. Fresh fish, but for how much they are charging, they just made every roll miniature. Not filling at all. Nigiri was better. Wouldnt return based on roll size. Other places with quality fish have not skimped on full size rolls.

Good sushi, fresh fish, really small portions for the cost! Spent 70+ dollars and the entire order was light enough to lift with my pinky finger. I will order the basic rolls in future over the fancier rolls because the fancy rolls like cherry blossom are not large enough for double the cost of the basic rolls. Réservez une table maintenant

Food tasted ok. Portion sizes were small given the price point. The Combo B- Sushi Bento Lunch Box tasted decent but there was a very small amount of chicken teriyaki. The Rainbow Roll was super thin and small and not worth 16 bucks at all. Would not recommend

The rolls were okay(not great), the shrimp tempura was not crispy and not hot enough, and the miso soup was very salty.Service was not too bad, but the server kept forgetting something. Overall experience was not delightful and kind of disappointed.

Ordered takeout on a timed order. Food was excellent but the best part is they timed it right so everything was still very fresh. A bit pricey for sushi but the quality explains it. Some unique roll combos.Food: 5/5

Definitely one of my favorite places in the area for sushi delivery! It apos;s always fresh and tastes great. Perfect amount of rice and fish! Highly recommend the crunchy spicy yellow scallion roll! Réservez une table maintenant

The Presidents Roll, a new combo to me, was wonderfully tasty, and the white tuna and yellowtail were ocean-fresh. This place is pretty expensive even for sushi, but worth the splurge.

We have dined here for over 25 years and we still get surprised by the new dishes! Tonight they served panko-crusted oysters with pickled veggies. Amazing!Parking: Strip mall parking.
