I'm not from the Bronx but came to meet a friend. The 1.5 hour trip from Queens was worth it. Great place, the space was very nice. I liked how the 2nd floor seating over looked the downstairs. Good music playing and the staff were nice and accommodating. Our server was Gabriel and he was very polite. I ordered the panko maduros and Lomo solteado. Both dishes were so tasty and flavorful. My friend ordered the veggie pad Thai but they accommodated and added chicken. Thesangria was good, left tipsy off of 2 drinks. My friend had the Alchemist, beautiful presentation of the drink and she said it was tasty. She wanted it to be a bit stronger but in the end I think it crept up. They said it was 2...
This was good eats appetizer style... Enjoyed 6 different apps. Must have the wings, I love a good wing. It was cooked thoroughly just the way I like it, and the glaze was delicious. Sweet and sticky. The Bam Bam shrimp was exactly that, going off with flavor in your mouth like Bam Bam. Calamari was delicious and addictive, I wanted to order another round, but it was a lot of food. Beef Empanadas were great, especially with the sauce. The plantains were sweet and crunchy. They were okay, but I could do without. Lastly, the shrimp egg rolls are very tasty, and the sauce brightens the flavor. Live music, great atmosphere, and excellent customer service. Definitely will be visiting again!
The restaurant is very cute. The wait staff was very friendly. They stressed that you have to get out in two hours which came across as rude especially since there’s an automatic fee for tables over 5 and over $100.00.That said we all had margaritas- which were delicious. We had the sweet plantain mofongo which was definitely different but good. We also had pad Thai noodles and salmon- the noodles were overcooked but still very tasty. The salmon was cooked to perfection. I would go again and recommend itOh we also had the bam bam shrimp/ very good and the beef empanadas which also were good
I lived in the Bronx basically my whole life and the food use to be good until the pandemic hit after food hasn't been the same when ordering out or dining in but at SUYO the vibe, the DJ and the FOOD!!! Was just amazing it was nice to experience and see that my Bronx still has something to offer for anyone who wants a nice time and great food I highly recommend SUYO you won't be disappointed.

I've gone there with colleagues and it was a nice time had. The food was a bit too spicy yet flavorful and the drinks were decent. The music was at a medium volume which allowed us to speak to one another comfortably while we ate and had some drinks. The bartenders were attentive, the mixed drinks were enjoyable, and the food was just a bit too spicy for a few of us.
First time here last night for a dinner date (Friday night) it’s a really amazing spot! And the food?! Delicious! The margaritas were good too, had the passion fruit mango. Def recommend! I also enjoyed the music, the DJ was on point with the reggaeton and dancehall.Food: 5/5
