The food was simply amazing! We ordered dinner from the restaurant and had room service deliver breakfast the following morning. Considering the delicious food and outstanding service, it’s worth every penny. Our waitress was fantastic, and the host frequently checked on us as well. I regret not taking pictures, but the bacon and cheddar hush puppies with maple glaze are an absolute must-try! I had the fried chicken breast served with Charleston red rice, and it was delightful.
I was having trouble finding a restaurant that would accommodate our party of 9. Called the Swamp Fox Restaurant and was easily able to reserve a table for a Saturday. The service here was incredible the hostess was so sweet and kept checking on us throughout the meal. Our server was just as wonderful. This restaurant is part of the Francis Marion Hotel. We only ate here twice both for breakfast (particularly on days when we had busy plans). The food was delicious. We had French toast, bacon and eggs, and pancakes. All were delicious! We had one really great experience with a really attentive waitress (sadly I for got her name). But she was wonderful! The other waitress wasn?t as attentive. And waited for 10-15 minutes just to order drinks.
Excellent service great tasting food! My favorite is the chicken entree. It's a big chicken cutlet cooked to perfection crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It is served on top of collard greens and mashed potatoes with gravy on the side. Both sides are delicious! The crab dip with crackers was a special for the night it was okay. This is a fantastic restaurant with genuine Southern cuisine. The she crab soup was incredible, boasting a creamy, smooth base and generous chunks of crab. The fried green tomatoes were crispy and delicious, and the halibut was outstanding. They also served the best shrimp and grits we've had in town!
We had a fantastic dinner! I absolutely loved the pianist, the decor, and the incredibly delicious food! Our drinks were excellent, but unfortunately, our server struggled to keep our water glasses filled. That was the only downside to an otherwise amazing dining experience!
The Bibb salad, fried chicken and butter cake were delicious. The gravy, collard greens and she crab soup weren't to my taste. Our waiter went beyond and above to help us get what we wanted.
Server was excellent. The food wasn't the best. The asparagus was overdone and the carrot cake and red velvet cake were dried out. The butter cake was outstanding as was the wedge salad Réservez une table maintenant
The food was delicious and the perfect end of our busy day. Our waiter was very attentive and the food service was quick. Great price point. Make a reservation and enjoy.
