Circling back to leave this review for a restaurant I have frequented for a couple of years now…SA has aged like a fine wine and last night was the cherry. We sat outside it was gorgeous the service was awesome but the food….the food last night was absolutely off the charts incredible. We got the steak and shrimp fajitas it’s simply not possible to cook that dish better than that. A+ establishment and not a bank breaker like the rest of the neighborhood.
Terrible experience. The second star is only cause the food is good, the drinks were good, the service was trash. Almost empty restaurant but drinks took 20 minutes to come before even ordering food. Finished food. Never bussed our plates. Order a new drink? You’re gonna wait another 20 minutes in between. Even when no one is in the restaurant. Get the check, say they can’t split the drink. Save your time, find somewhere else.
My husband and I hadn't dined at Sweet Agave since before the pandemic, so it had been at least three years. We decided to go last night and had a fantastic experience. I highly recommend the fajitas, they were delicious. The drinks were perfect for a casual Mexican restaurant. The service was fast and friendly. Overall, the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you receive.
We had a nice meal here. Sweet Agave is a perfectly reasonable neighborhood Tex Mex restaurant, with good service and very reasonable prices. It deserves 4 stars on a neighborhood restaurant scale. I don’t know that I would drive across town to come here, however. You can probably find something similar where you are. But it’s a fine choice if you happen to be on MacArthur Boulevard. Good friendly customer service and homely, colourful nicely decorated restaurant. I had their full stack of ribs which came with some rice salad. I thought I wouldn’t finish it but the ribs BBQ sauce were finger licking good and succulent I finished the rack.Family friendly and the kids enjoyed their meals will recommend .
I have been coming to this place for almost a decade. Authentic Mexican food, create salsa verde, real homie relaxed environment. Highly recommended for a date or chillin at the bar
Best margaritas for the price. We always get the house margarita and a frozen strawberry. The food is consistent and great portions and taste. Friendly staff too
