Making delicious food can be difficult when you have a full range of ingredients to choose from. That’s why I am always seriously impressed by places that achieve deliciousness with some serious restrictions imposed on their ingredients list. Sweet Bones Bakery and Vegan cafe is such a place. Their food is super healthy, as well as organic and vegan, but seriously delicious. In fact this place is worth a mention for one single thing – in my opinion they have the best banana bread in town. I have been working on a copycat recipe for a looong time and will share it in my next post. They serve this with a maple whipped butter that I am also keen to recreate....
Been here numerous times. Great to have somewhere specifically vegan and in a great location. Service is great and it's moderately priced. Definitely more of a cafe than a restaurant, portions are okay - presentation could definitely be improved. Cakes and slices are definitely the highlights. Also am a fan of the sandwiches in particular the BLT, nachos were mediocre and coffee was good, smoothies have been better. Seems to be always busy, often with a line out the door and can be hard to find a seat. Specialise in cakes that look incredible.
Still trying to understand why this is such a popular place. The whole time we were there (between 10 at 11.30), the line never subsided! Coffee was good and my cocwhip was different and decent. But we waited for 30+ minutes for granola to come out! Yes, really! And, it was just OK. It's just granola, after all. Not sure what all the hype is all about.
Today I am dieting so I choose this Baganda cafe. I ordered Mean Green Salad and it was pretty yummy. I love The dressing source containing tahini. Will go back again and try more!!

Holidayed in Canberra and had breakfast here everyday. It was fantastic. The food is great, the coffee is great. It is great.
I come here almost every day at my stay in Canberra. They offer delicious vegan breakfast and my favorite is Mac Wrap.
Absolutely delicious cafe food I left so satisfied. And all vegan! The service was great, friendly and fast.
