Sweet Pea's Public House

This is the third time that I updated my review for Sweet Peas since I moved to the neighborhood a year ago. I used to hear that the service was getting worse and worse. Last weekend (March 31, 2019) we were one of 3 tables at the back and we saw the other server (which filled our drinks) more than our server. Our server took our order, brought food and then check. We sat and watched her sit at the pull-down stand while our drinks were empty. Besides, the fries were cold when we got them at our table. We came once a week, but with the lack of service, we went and found other places to eat.

This place is good, definitely one of those St Paul staple burger places. It was packed when I was there, and they were having some sort of restaurant wide drone racing competition that was highly entertaining. The drinks were your typical bar fare, and the food was great. A little noisy and dark, but if you like the sort of semi-dive feel, this place is for you.

I enjoyed the visit. The nachos and margherita flat bread were excellent appetizers. I enjoyed the burger I had and the atmosphere in general. Good service and we were able to park nearby. Large beer selection!

Every time I go here, I am greeted with friendly faces and I enjoy a delicious meal. This is a comfortable place. I appreciate how Sweet Pea regularly updates her menu with new articles.

The best mushroom burger I had in the Twin Cities. Good beer selection, great pommes.
