Sweet Potatoes - Réservation de table

One of my favorites, if not my #1 favorite soul food restaurant. I wish the establishment will one day expand the size. It is a very small in size, and only seats 12-15 people tops, and that would make it tight in there. The small side is more for takeout. I have been on the bigger side for Sunday brunch. Love the jazz band, and the full buffet. Today in particular, my mother said let's go out to eat. I really wanted her to try this restaurant. Her stomach is very sensitive, and can't eat certain things. I just wish the waitress was a little bit more patient, and not so fast to catch an attitude, when trying to order the food the way she likes it . Overall, my mother enjoyed the food as well...

Been searching for a good soul food restaurant close by for a while and stumbled across this one on Google maps. The reviews were mixed, but mostly good and enough to get us to make the drive from the Bronx. And boy are we glad we did. The guys behind the counter are really friendly and knowledgeable about what they are serving you. We got the combo platter fried chicken and short ribs. Mac n cheese, string beans (great flavor) for me and Mac n cheese and potato salad for him. The sides were good, the chicken was good but the short ribs were really good. So tender and the sauce was deeeelicious. And the portions were HUGE. They gave us so much food that we have to wait until tomorrow to try...

Remember that good things don't last long? but I pray that this restaurant will take a long time. As a rule, I command floods from them and was literally never disappointed? Eating is ALWAYS on point (please keep the cook around and have never messed up my order. I picked up an order in the restaurant before and they were very friendly and efficient. There's a moment to eat? Because they are?re usually always busy and plus food will be fresh and tasty when you get it, so it is worth waiting. Just wanted to give out a scream that deserves!

Make sure to check the order before you go. Your food is great! My dinner, fried stews along with fried (fresh) fish. Green not over cooked Mac-n-Cheese very well made ratio between noodles and cheese. Yams were on point, not too sweet or boiled. Cornbread, beautiful part. Banana pudding is delicious and has not turned any color within 48 hours. Réservez une table maintenant

I haven?t had Sweet Potatoes in over 8 years I remember why. The cornbread tasted too sweet and didn?t taste homemade. The catfish was okay but didn?t taste seasoned. The Mac and cheese was good but the collard greens tasted sweet. I don?t like sweet greens. Food was packaged well.

Love their food. Never disappointed. Except this time my shrimp was fried too hard and they added some dry rice and beans to the platter under the shrimp. I could have done w/o that. It was dry, hard and undercooked. But the Mac, candied yams, BBQ chicken and shrimp was tasty.

The food here is very tasty and the service is friendly. But din-in room was limited to Covid and not now available, except on a special basis (they have a dining area a few doors down for groups). Order well in advance or be ready to wait.
