Many of our first choices were unavailable, including Retsina wine, octopus, souvla and anything that came with seasonal vegetables. So we were mainly eating second choices. The veggie moussaka was made up with a bag of diced mixed veg (peas, carrots and corn) and contained no aubergine it was easily the worst we've ever experienced and nothing like we've eaten in many parts of Greece. And the calamari portion was very small. The lighting was very bright and there was a party upstairs in the restaurant's first floor room that was so loud it totally dominated the atmosphere on the ground floor. Overall, pretty poor. Really wanted to like this place as I love Greek food. However, the vegetarian moussaka was a huge disappointment filled with frozen mixed veg from Iceland and nothing at all resembling food I've had many times in Greece. I felt sorry for the waitress who kept having to deliver bad news-the wine we ordered wasn't in stock, there was no octopus, souvla or even veg! Maybe because they'd chopped it all into small cubes for the moussaka, I don't know. Sweet waiting staff but the restaurant generally lacked atmosphere downstairs. Upstairs however, there seemed to be a full on rave. It seemed very expensive for mediocre food. Won't be returning.
I've been wanting to visit Syrtaki for ages and finally made it down this week. Have to say I was really disappointed. My husband and I are both vegetarian but we were told upon arrival that one of the two veggie mains (which we both had our hearts set on) was unavailable. We asked if they could put together a veggie meze plate for us instead but the waitress said no so we ended up spending a small fortune on a mix of hot and cold starters which is essentially a meze. Granted, they were all really nice but based on our experience, we won't be going back. Surely we can't be the only vegetarians to visit or to ask for a meat free meze?!
Absolutely amazing place. Great food, beautiful decor and very good service by all the staff. We went there for my brother's birthday and we were not disappointed! My only suggestion is that you go there hungry as the portions are generous and it is so tasty that'll want to try it all. Also if you like slightly sweeter wines then you won't be disappointed with their Greek sparking wine. Enjoy!

We ordered every starter I think and a number of iced coffees. Flavours were perfectly balanced and the dishes were sooo tasty. Atmosphere was lovely and relaxed on a hot day. We had an impromptu family get together and sat out the front along with my dog tucked to the side. The waiter was attentive, accommodating and easy to speak to. Would recommend
We have been in the place with my family this eve. Despite the incredible lack of employees in the industry, the exorbitant cost of purchasing, and the distance from wholesale, this local restaurant does its job very well and extreamly properly. Concept, quality of food and service was perfect. Thank you very much Syrtaki!
Authentic, family run restaurant. Superb menu and the homemade food was delicious. Excellent customer service and felt just like being back in the Peloponnese. We shall return. Many thanks and keep up the fine work. ευχαριστώ

It was good. We got a lovely bottle of excellent Greek red (Naoussa). The grilled meat was on point. Decent Greek salad.
Place is closed. Google still says it's open, didn't even bother to update their page.
