My sister and I ate at Los Hidalgos for a late lunch on February 24. The food was fresh, the service really nice, and the price just right. We split three half portion sized plates of fried fish, fried boquerones, and croquettas, and I also had the fish soup and a beer. That was quite enough for us. The treat of house made vermouth afterward was a perfect ending to the meal. This place seemed to be beloved by the locals, and it was easy to understand why. Apart from the simple, but good food, the place decor and staff vibe make you feel at home. It was a stark contrast to the ultra crowded tourist tapas spots around the corner. I’m looking forward to coming back here next time I am in Malaga...
