We've been coming to Tabla for years we just celebrated our dad's birthday here and it was fantastic!!! We had a couple of special food requests such as lactose intolerance and ordering an off menu item. Needless to say they did a great job accommodating these requests and went above and beyond with our dinner! Our waiter was very attentive and charismatic, joking around to make sure we were having a good time. Even the owner and then the chef came out to wish my dad a happy bday! They made a special gulab jamun dessert just for him and played a song on the loudspeaker On regular days, they have equally delicious food and attention to detail. The food at this restaurant is delicious, but recently there has been a noticeable decrease in the amount of protein in the dishes. Despite being loyal customers for years, we were disappointed to receive dishes with only a few pieces of chicken or lamb, which were mostly fat rather than protein. While the chicken tikka masala sauce was tasty, the small pieces of chicken were barely noticeable. When I called to express my frustration about the lack of protein and the high price of the meal, I was hung up on. However, the restaurant did call back to apologize for their behavior. I came here with my family for dinner, the ambiance of the restaurant was soothing, and the setting is very elegant. Service was unmatched from the moment I walked through the doors. Manager personally introduced himself to my family and had made every effort to ensure that we have a delightful experience. Food served is truly an authentic Indian cuisine made with the correct spices and savory. I highly recommend this and would come here again!
Tabla Fine Indian Cuisine was a huge relief for my family during the pandemic. We made it a tradition to order from here every Thursday for our family board game night. It was an evening we all looked forward to, not just for the entertainment but also for the delicious food. I am truly grateful to Tabla for being a bright spot during these difficult times!

Tabla is an excellent restaurant for those seeking genuine and delicious Indian dishes. They clearly label all their vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. I especially enjoy their Vegetable Samosa (vegan), Butter Paneer (Paneer Makhani) (vegetarian), and Naan. While the prices may be a bit higher, the portions are generous and perfect for sharing.

Tabla is consistently excellent. The menu selections, the preparation of food, the service, and the ambiance. Tabla is outstanding and the best Indian food in Ridgewood.
They have decreased their portion sizes significantly to the point where the prices seem way too overpriced
