They get two stars because GENERALLY the food I get here is fresh and they remember to throw in utensils and napkins. Not today, though. We waited over half an hour with 4 cars ahead of us in the drive through. When I said I had a mobile order they couldn’t find it despite my confirmation email. When I finally got my food, the quesadilla was literally uncooked- just a tortilla folded around cold shredded cheese. The burrito was cold as ice too, just uncooked onions and unmelted cheese on beans so dry they were crumbling. No utensils, no napkins. It is actually FASTER for me to drive 25 minutes into Garner than 5 minutes here once you factor in how slow the service ALWAYS is. I have never see...
I went to the Taco Bell at 40/42 and discovered it was closed earlier than I expected. I checked the closing time for the Clayton location, which said they close at 10:00 PM. To double-check, I called at 9:30 PM, and an employee informed me that they had already shut down. I mentioned that their posted hours indicate they close at 10:00 PM, but was told that they had turned off all the ovens and put away the food. It would be beneficial if they could stick to their posted hours or update their online information to reflect any changes.
The staff at Taco Bell were extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, yet they treated customers terribly. When there was finally no line around the building, I quickly went to order, only for the girl at the window to act like taking my order was a huge inconvenience. Definitely not worth it! The menu should be enjoyed with better customer service.
After buying a taco party pack, a couple of drinks, and a crunch wrap, my wife brought it home, and we were met with huge disappointment. The hard tacos weren't even half full, and the soft tacos had even less filling. I had requested no tomatoes on the crunch wrap, but they chose to fill the little amount of filling with tomatoes instead. Honestly, for $33, I should have gone anywhere else!

I sincerely hope that when they rebuild this establishment, they will hire an entirely new staff and, preferably, new franchise owners as well. It's hard to believe that anyone truly committed to making a profit and operating a successful business was involved with the previous KFC Taco Bell combination. Having lived in Clayton for over 20 years, this is my honest assessment.
This review highlights the disappointing lack of beef in Taco Bell’s beef taco and Crunch Beef Supreme. The amount of beef on the menu was laughably small, leaving the reviewer wishing Fred Smith could step in to assist the Taco Bell chef. Overall, they were let down by the minimal beef servings in their meal.
Horrible service, you will wait about 30 min for your food no matter if you order inside or in the drive thru. It's not even that busy there's just lines because they don't take your order. There are five cars waiting for the person to take the first car's order, there's no one in front of that car.
Absolutely terrible experience. Why is your lobby always closed? Why isn't the drive-thru service faster? Why aren't the floors clean? I would recommend staying away. This is the worst Taco Bell in the state.
