I got a coupon in the mail which offered what I understood to be) buy one order, and get a second order for $1. Since we had not been in a Taco Cabana in several years, we decided to give it a try. Upon arrival at the Order Window I saw the menu had a small section called Plates , one called Cabanas , some others. I tried to order 1 Mexican Plate $7.99, and 1 Cabana Salad, but the coupon inferred) said buy one plate and get another plate) for $1. So after that was cleared up, I ordered a Cabana Sampler Plate for $8.29, and 2 small drinks $3.98). The final bill came to $17.60 including tax with coupon interpretation. As for the food, the rice, frijoles and tacos were pretty much average Mexican subsistence food. It was OK, but nothing remarkable. The salsa bar was not set up, and the salsas they offered were not exactly fresh, but very average. This restaurant might be a place to go after work to have a couple margaritas and eat beans, rice and a couple tacos to satisfy the hunger brought on by the drinks, which might be it 's forte. The facilities were not particularly clean nor particularly not clean. Just my impression.
