This is an excellent spot for a quick bite of delicious Mexican food! It's definitely superior to most fast-food Mexican chains. They've also expanded their menu to include more options for vegetarians and vegans, featuring cauliflower rice and Beyond Meat, which is fantastic! This change allows more people to find healthy choices at a family-friendly restaurant, and I really appreciate that. I ordered a large quesadilla along with a large queso and chips, and they included a side of sour cream and guacamole! I also picked up some salsa from the salsa bar and enjoyed everything for around $13. I love the convenience of the drive-thru, but there's also ample seating inside!
A colleague who knows this chain well kept recommending it, so a few of us decided to check it out during a work trip in the area. I was really impressed! It’s the best fast Mexican food I’ve ever had. I’ve seen it compared to Del Taco, another Mexican fast-food option that's not widely available in the DMV, but Taco Cabana is on a whole different level—it's not even a fair comparison. Del Taco is much closer to Taco Bell than it is to Taco Cabana. I’ll definitely make it a priority to visit one whenever I get the chance.
The food here is consistently delicious and fresh. However, I was recently disappointed to see Beyond Meat featured on the menu. Beyond Meat is a low-cost, synthetic product that I consider to be fake meat. I sincerely hope this doesn't indicate a shift in Taco Cabana's food policies toward incorporating cheap artificial substitutes.
I'm writing this review on Thursday, January 4, 2024. At around 7:52 PM, a man walked back inside the building using inappropriate language. I have children with me, and we shouldn't have to deal with that kind of behavior.

Love the posole, always my go-to for late night. The staff is friendly and quick. My only complaint is they used to put a foil pack of posole toppings(onion, cilantro, lime, etc. in the bag but have since stopped.
I have to go quite a distance out of my way to visit this restaurant. However, after the Taco Cabana on San Mateo near I-25 began serving some really disappointing food, I had no choice but to seek alternatives.
The food is always soooooo good. The restaurant was clean and well stocked. The staff were so nice and friendly. The price for the food is extremely fair in my mind. Everyone should try the beef super nachos!
I arrived at 9 PM, but the website stated they closed at 10 PM. As I was walking back to my car, I saw them unlock the door and let a few people in. What a surprise! I guess that's how they treat visitors.

Their food is fantastic! Drive through is VERY slow. Would not recommend if more than 1-2 cars in line. But- the grilled avocado is to die for. Delicious, fresh, and healthy!
