Came here, because I was absolutely craving a good burrito, due to being pregnant, and I haven't had taco John's for 4+ years. The service was great, atmosphere was good (they were dead) But the food. Oh god, please no. $50 DOWN THE DRAIN!!! The only good thing was my drink, and potatoes with cheese sauce. I got the spicy steak and potato burrito. $4 for a child size burrito?!?! It wasn't even spicy at all. Couldn't taste the steak. Tasted like garbage. I tried the new Boss Bowl... Honestly I would have been better saved money getting the Taco salad!!! Had less ingredients than the salad, meaning less meat, less other things too. The remodel looked good. Too bad the workers just didn't care. I had to wait for either of them to get off personal phone(surfing to order. I like to go to the Washington Ave location better. But honestly it's worse service does have better food than here. The remodel(1 year looks good compared to the prior style that was straight up 1980's I just wasn't impressed with it.
I recently visited Taco John’s and overall had a positive experience. My order was accurate, except for the missing house dressing, which wasn't a big issue. However, the replacement tasted oddly like honey mustard rather than the expected flavor. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and it wasn't overcrowded. Overall, a decent visit despite the minor hiccup with the dressing.

For $40 my order should be correct. Chicken tacos were made wrong and the taco pizza also did not have all the toppings it was supposed to have. We were also parked as soon as we came to the window when they had no other customers.
Didn't get cheese sauce we paid for and tacos were paper thin. We paid $20 for six pack and a pound biggest rip off I've gotten in a long time.
Drive thru was fairly quick and order was correct. Prices were reasonable and the bean burritos tasted good.
