I have been served dozens and dozens of birria across denver and the surrounding areas. This is hands down the best example of beef birria yet hands down. I got emotional eating my three tacos. If you are reading this. Drop what you are doing and drive over right now. Do not order door dash or Uber eats. Grab the car keys and drive 10 under the speed limit to sherridan and keep going until you see tacos unico. On the outside, this place looks like a hard pass. Absolutely wonderful local place. It's a family joint that just does everything well. From the fantastic salsas that come with the chips, to super fresh and big oysters, to excellent menudo and tacos, I've yet to have anything here that I haven't loved. There are great specials every day and a great happy hour from 15:00 to 18:00. I'm always greeted by fantastic and prompt service and just peeking into the open kitchen you can tell how much care and attention goes into the food here. This is coming from a former chef as well.
I have been back 3X in the last month. I love the birria tacos and the salsas but most of all, the woman who provides the service is so wonderful and kind, as is her daughter who is often around!
