Tacos Al Vapor El Canelo

This restaurant offers fantastic and efficient service. The tacos are all steamed, including the tortilla, which helps prevent sogginess. They offer a wide variety of meats, and I tried the asada, lengua, and chicharrón which were all delicious. The chicharrón comes with a unique green salsa, different from the other tacos. Additionally, they provide habanero salsa, red salsa, pickled carrots and onions, limes, and cilantro with onions on the side with your taco order. I would recommend this place for those looking for non-greasy tacos.

The best steamed tacos ever. Taco Tuesday makes it even better with the 2-for-1 cabeza recommendation. If you like spicy, try the chicharron tacos in addition to the cabeza ones; you'll love them. No need for salsa when you have chicharron tacos. They also offer vegetarian options, which may not be vegetarian but are lower in fat and calories due to being steam-cooked.

It's tasty but prices went up drastically. . . Quality is not the same as it was 18 months ago . This used to be our favorite spot when we go visit Southern California . . . But we need to explore new locations for taste and cost effectiveness !

If your looking for a spot to satisfy your taco cravings I 100% recommend this spot!! Never disappoints when I take my friends and family. We always leave eating around 7 tacos each. Awesome service.

They are located in a small plaza on Whittier Blvd. Authentic Mexican food. Tacos Al Vapor is right on point. I will return.
