I have been coming here since I moved to Forestville 15 years ago. I live 5 minutes from this establishment, so I want to be able to like this place. We don 't have many choices for takeout in Forestville... I took a break from eating here, since the favorite chicken item made us feel sick, and too many mushy vegetables. So we came back, after a couple years break, and I stopped ordering meat, and order the exact same thing every single time. They know who we are, what we look like. So today, placed the same order that we always place, and was given 2 chow meins in place of my 2 orders of veggie pot stickers. This order was placed over the phone, and I think they wrote it down wrong, because...
I rarely order food to go because of income constraints. But I recently decided to splurge, and ordered Broccoli and Beef from Tahoe. The broccoli was absolutely inedible. I love raw broccoli, and always cook it al dente. But the broccoli in this order was like chewing on tree roots! The beef was FULL of grizzle...and the amount of beef was insulting. I have lived in Forestville for 41 years. The Chinese restaurant here has had multiple owners. The current owners are a pale comparison to the ones of the old days. So very disappointing.
Love this spot! Recently moved to the area, called this evening, and did not realize they had adjusted their hours due to Covid and called about 30 minutes before the closed. I hate being that person! They were so kind and had my order ready in 20 minutes I'm home, the food is amazing! Highly recommend the Mongolian beef!
The only redeeming dish was the egg rolls. Unfortunately, the chicken chow mein was drenched in oil, making it feel more like a greasy soup than a meal. I wouldn't even recommend placing the to-go bag in your car, as the grease will seep through the bag and leave a mess all over your vehicle.

A big shoutout to Tahoe Chinese Food from Barbara in Guerneville and Oakland! They consistently deliver the best dishes around. You won't be disappointed when Bing and Lisa prepare your meal for the evening. Thank you once again, and I look forward to seeing you soon!
The couple who runs the restaurant is incredibly friendly! They offered excellent recommendations, and the food came out quickly and was delicious! The coconut curry dish was absolutely outstanding!
The Chinese-American food here is average—quite bland but still decent enough to eat after a long day. The prices are reasonable, and the staff is very friendly.
What a nice surprise! Beef chow fun is EXCELLENT. Owners are super friendly and they have lunch specials Try this place out, you won't be disappointed.
