I have never been a fan of Indian food, but it is mainly due to the few Indian restaurants I have ever eaten. After a recent negative experience at an Indian restaurant, I decided to actively find better Indian food. Luckily, my first stop was Taj Mahal. I went during an off peak hour (2pm) so there was only one other patron. The music was pleasant. I was given a thin, crunchy cracker like food with 3 sauces: a sweet one, a medium one with minced onions, and a green spicy one. I ordered a chicken samosa, chicken Tikka masala, and the Taj Special Lasso (a yogurt based drink with rose syrup quite good and refreshing). I first visited this restaurant last May and was blown away by both the food and the service—it was simply incredible! I decided to book it for my fiancé's proposal after party, and the staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful. A special shout-out to Gopal Bhai, who was fantastic and guided us through every detail, ensuring everything was perfectly timed. We went back today, and I have to say, the food was just as delicious, if not better. The staff continues to impress me. This restaurant is a must-visit, so add it to your list now—you won't be disappointed!
I visited this restaurant for a birthday party, and everything was absolutely delicious. They offer a variety of dishes, including plenty of vegetarian options. The butter chicken was especially tasty, and everything else I tried from the buffet was equally wonderful. I highly recommend this place. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is outstanding!
I've visited this restaurant twice, and I must say the food is absolutely fantastic. It's the best Indian cuisine in the area. My fiancé and I also held our engagement party here, and the staff was incredibly accommodating with all our requests. The service is exceptional too. This place is definitely a must-try!

This used to be a good restaurant. But the food is bad now. We used to order cheese butter masala, but now the taste is so bad. We ordered panner saslik, cheese butter masala. All food with medium spicy. But the food we received was so sweet and cheese butter masala was tangy in taste. Will not visiting again.
We've been going to Taj Mahal restaurant for some time now, and we've never been disappointed. Tonight was no different, excellent food, prompt and courteous service. Gopal was especially great with his excellent service as he attended to our party of 10. Happy to know we've got this place nearby us!
Chef Dipam is the best in Chicago land area. We met him and he made the best dishes I’ve tried. Only in India you can find this taste and it reminded me of home. And Gopal was very attentive as always. Best restaurant! 100% recommend to go there and have a great lunch buffet or an amazing dinner.
Four of us ordered five dishes. Each dish smelled exactly as described on the menu. Normally, we check the portion size for all dishes. The lamb biriyani was moist, packed with flavors, and incredibly delicious. A young and ambitious entrepreneur manages the restaurant.

We got really great food from here. I will say the mild spice level was very mild, I was expecting something a bit spicier for Indian food, but it was very good nonetheless. I will just know to order medium next time. Also the best samosas I have ever had.
Delicious food with just the right amount of spice. This was a great atmosphere to enjoy a meal with good friends. Highly recommend.
