I very rarely write reviews, but the ones that I have have been good reviews, this is my first bad one. We ordered our drinks and then our meal, my husband tried to ask the waiter something but he spoke over my husband, ignored the question and just walked off, we had a little giggle over it. When the meal came, one of the dishes we'd ordered was very dry meat, we told staff it wasn't right, it should be in a rich sauce, they said that's how they serve it, we've ordered the same thing in numerous Indian restaurants before so know how it should be served so we said we didn't want it, they brought it back smothered in a runny vinigar sauce. We also had tikka masala which was bland, onion bhaji...
Excellent restaurant. The staff are 5 star so thats ag good start. Good choice of food. Starters are a generous size. Main meals had good flavour and come out on the hotter side so only order vinderloo if you really like it very hot. Good location with lots of other bars providing a pleasant atmosphere. Reasonably priced but not inexpensive. Lots of outdoor eating space on a raised deck. Inside is elaborate and really sets the scene with high ceilings and shaped room. Do try this place it's a 5 star and worthy of it.
Good curry and all tasted homemade, good quality chicken and sauces. The set evening menu sucked. But the staff allowed us to deviate from it as it's not as flexible as the Victoria palaces but their neighbors (sobar) have driven us away as it's too noisy. Glad we came here and will be back and recommend. Could be a little more flexible with their set menu as I asked for chana samosa and wouldn't let me even though it's the same price as veg samosa. But the food was delicious. Veg samosa in the picture. Very good
We 've always avoided going into this Indian Restaurant as the outside is rather bland and not Eye Catching .....but what a surprise the inside was a WoW.....together with the choice of Menu and especially the welcome, friendliness and the service food......was an overall hit. We will be returning soon and also likely that we have found our Christmas Day venue. We 'll done the Taj Mahal. Réservez une table maintenant
