So delicious ! This was our first visit to Take Five Bistro Windsor . From the road it looked closed and like a humble sandwiche shop. Don't be fooled, it was open. Inside it is pretty and sophisticated with gentle, unobtrusive music. It was chilly and raining outside so I had French Onion Soup hot, properly simmered and flavoured, a generous amount of onions, bread, and cheese. My husband started with the Beet Salad a very nice twist on salad, delicious goat cheese balls, nutritious beets. My main was a medium rare Filet Mignon with bacon-jam and cheese. Not mad at all at the steak I ordered. There wasn’t a single bone-in cut on the menu and only a few of my bites were explosive with flavor where as the rest of the bites were just great steak that’s why 4 stars not 5. Im aware that sometimes they do have some bone-in options but to me that’s just strange to not always have it. Anyways it was priced appropriately, and the staff was very professional. Might be Windsor’s best option for steak.
table 5 bistro has not disappointed. we have chosen to offer this of all the good that windsor has. the lamb and steak we had were excellent. so delicate and tasteful. the Strawberry Foambé was a good opportunity to finish a perfect meal. brad was very grateful for the weeping suggestion. in any case, our trip to windsor will be thankful (can be for super dry night.)
Just exceptional! Reserved for a 50th anniversary party and they did not disappoint. Excellent drinks, apps and the mains were amazing. We had 3 children and the staff treated them wonderfully. White cheddar bacon tenderloin was fantastic. We always think of Take Five for a great family dining experience!
