The best part of this restaurant is that once you walk through the door and corridor into the dining space, the calm atmosphere will lock away all the noises, leaving only relaxation and peace. The friendly staff and calm atmosphere are two factors I would recommend; of course you should have some buffer for food and drinks as it's not any budget dining just for filling up your stomach. They offer two/three/four courses set. You can make any combination you prefer, and the dishes are tasty. Our friend ordered three course set with starter, main and dessert. We had one big sushi plate for sharing. Sushi tastes good and the portion is good enough for two. We tried the taku rose drink, €20 per glass, champagne with rose syrup, nice but too much for a small portion.

I haven't been to that many Michelin star restaurants but enough to say that I'm not impressed by this one. There was nothing wrong with the food really and I'm impressed that they offered a full vegan menu. It was delicious! My issue with Taku was the service. It was quite messy. We had to send back the first dish cause it was all meat. I had preordered the vegan menu long before when I booked the table and they had obviously missed it. The service was a bit slow and all the people involved in serving us didn't seem like they were in control of what other colleagues had done or were supposed to do. Good food, not good service.

Service is perfect, pitty that guest from east block countries visiting this star restaurant with load mobile phones and no appreciation of the excellent good food. The refined and presentation of the food is fantastic. Not a cheap place but for lovers of good service, extreme good food this is the place to go.A special appreciation for one of the girl who walk like a ballerina, a very good host by the name of Daniela. First of all I must say that this restaurant is very well located and beautiful. The service was amazing (I always love that). The food was excellent with attention to detai, but I liked the vine pairing even more.Loved the little gift I got when I left the restaurant,Next time in Cologne I'll be back

The dishes here are very creative and tasty and the staff is knowledgeable and professional. Besides the ordered meal, there were several small in-between dishes which were unique and creative as well.
