But the experience doesn’t stop there. After I crafted a towering sandwich packed with all my favorite Italian deli ingredients, Mike suggested we give it a name. With a bit of lighthearted brainstorming, we settled on THE NAPOLITANO: Fried Eggplant, Sweet Soppressata, Capicola, Mortadella, Fresh Mozzarella, topped with Muffaletta Spread, Broccoli Rabe, and a Long Hot Pepper. Even though the chalkboards were filled to the brim, when I asked for it by name, they knew exactly how to make it. A definite must-try! The moment you walk in, the aroma is incredible. The entire staff is warm and friendly. The food—oh my goodness, it's fantastic! These are by far the best sandwiches I've ever had. They truly give you generous portions. Even with only 20 minutes until closing, the line for a sandwich was long, and it was worth the wait. I encourage anyone in search of great food to give this place a shot. If you're hosting a party, event, or even a Super Bowl gathering, definitely consider them; you won’t be disappointed. Love it! I’ve been following Taliercio’s on Instagram for a while, and recently saw a post about the SauceGardner that completely convinced me to visit. So, I went for the first time the other day and tried that sandwich, along with the fried ravioli and onion rings. Occasionally, you have a transformative experience with food, and this was definitely one of those moments. My only drawback is that I couldn’t find the SauceGardner on their delivery menus. I ordered The Boss sandwich ($18.95), which was quite large but took around 20 minutes to arrive. The person I was with ordered a different sandwich from the board ($14.95), and that took about 15 minutes to come out. The sandwiches were so big that we each only managed to eat half and ended up taking the leftovers home. I gave it 3 stars primarily because of the wait time, especially on a day when there wasn't much of a line.
The sandwiches here are the best in New Jersey! I would go so far as to say I’d give up my firstborn for the fried ravioli. And that’s not even touching on the bakery aspect of this establishment. During my visit, the owner personally asked if we needed anything and even added some cookies for our hour-long ride home.
"Fabulous" is the only way to describe my experience. This was my first time catering Thanksgiving dinner, and I couldn’t be happier. I arrived just five minutes before closing, and unfortunately, the slicers had already been cleaned. However, they still ensured that I received a delicious sandwich—chicken cutlet with mozzarella and balsamic. This place is definitely a calorie bomb, so I’m grateful it’s an hour away from me!
