As a belated celebration of birthday and Father’s Day, our son treated us to a luxurious Japanese BBQ feast here. The ambience was welcoming. A glass of chilled cold draft Asahi was a nice way to begin our meal. The salads were beautifully-plated and appetizingly refreshing. The grill-you-own entrees started with an aged Tomahawk set of high quality flavorful, tender beef. The finely-marbled Celebrity Japanese wagyu set followed. Outstanding professional staff. Both staff servers were courteous, responsive, and really worked to satisfy all customer needs. Food preparation, display, and quality were exceptional. Open fire cooking is enjoyable and we left with full stomachs and are definitely looking forward to a return. BEST PART, it was our Anniversary dinner what a way to make for a pleasant memory! Thank you to the entire staff.

Really great Japanese BBQ. You get a healthy and high quality meal here. Great value considering how expensive eating out is getting to be. I cannot believe I have never been here before. Do not judge this place by location, we have been to some Michelin rated restaurants and have had some of the most exquisite meals, but nothing compares to this. Everything we ate, just melted in your mouth.

The cuts of meat are incredible, although small portions. I'd recommended starting with the cheaper cuts and working your way up to the Wagyu after you've had the Japanese A5 Wagyu, the other cuts are ruined for you.I've heard people describe the Wagyu as being like butter, but when I first tasted it, I immediately thought that it was like delicious beef bacon. Yukhoe and liver sashimi, which you can't eat in Japan, are delicious?And the other meats are also of very high quality! ️ The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and it was a fun restaurantI would like to go there again if I come to Los Angeles.

Shinju was exceptionally talented at making us feel welcome at her establishment and seemingly commanded the restaurant with minimal support. The restaurant is delicious and I especially suggest trying the bibimbap. We will be back!

This Tamaen location is super good consistently. Never had a bad experience. The food is superb and even gets better as time passes. Service is excellent as well! My favorite meat place on the planet so far.

The meat is top quality, but the quantity is small compared to the price, and the cold noodles are Jjolmyeon noodles.
