After taking a walk along the Bondi to Tamarama cliff path and watching the daring surfers, I stopped at the Tamarama Beach kiosk for a coffee around 7:45am. The newly rebuilt kiosk, located behind the beach, offered a good deal at that early hour. I went to this cafe today, always had good experiences in the past. I was there at 8am this morning and the staff were incredibly rude, rude, rude! Multiple staff made it very clear (they were literally shouting at groups of potential patrons to go...away) that they had no interest in our patronage or the 25 I was spending on 4 take away coffees. Our tea was made incorrectly and the lady at the counter could barely have been ruder and refused to remake to fix her mistake (OMG, how much does tea cost to remake a cup of tea? It was literally shocking. The staff proved they had no passion for hospitality. We were so disappointed.
Some former business associates, and now friends, came up from Melbourne to explore Sydney and the eastern suburbs and wanted to catch up, so why not have a coffee on the beach? The sun was shining, the waves were crashing and there weren't many people...around (work day). There were a few people at the coffee shop and a couple of dogs with them. The coffee was great, the service was good and we enjoyed our time catching up. Whilst I've walked past this cafe many times before it is the first time I've stopped and sat down to enjoy the ambience. It's well worth a visit, particularly mid week after peak hour.

I was here for a quick lunch and ordered a simple egg bacon and roll. Honestly it wasn't very tasty. I have eaten this type of sandwich many times in many different places, but here the egg on one side was completely raw, and it...was salt-free, when usually the egg bacon and roll is very tasty. Really nothing special. And also, it wasn't even a sandwich, but a kind of pizza. Obviously, the coffee is aesthetically very nice, and the staff is very friendly.
Both tourists and regular customers help keep this restaurant in business. It's a shame that the Waverley Council allows them to operate without any competition. It's truly a fantastic spot, but it's unfortunate that Australian tourists have had a negative experience. I would advise avoiding this cafe and spreading the word.
We were walking along the coast when we decided to stop for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised. The service was great and the breakfast was delicious. The atmosphere was lively and the coffee was excellent. It's a beautiful place to sit back, relax, and enjoy the view.
We were fortunate to get a table in the shade on a hot spring day before a stroll to Bondi enjoying Sculpture by the Sea. The service was surprisingly fast and we thoroughly enjoyed our banana bread and good coffee.

It’s a lovely 20min cliff top walk from the Bondi Icebergs to this quiet beach and beachside cafe. The cafe served free water, a range of home-made snacks, and a decent flat white coffee.
You can sit on a beanbag on the beach and take in the view. There is live music sometimes on a Sunday during the cooler months.
