Tamarind - Réserver une table

Eleven of us had a catch up dinner here on Friday night.  Seeing some of the mixed reviews I must admit that I went to this restaurant with some trepidation and I had decided that I wouldn't bother with entrees. However the group decided to order a lot of dishes, including entrees, to share and I went along with the flow.  The entrees aren't as good as the mains, but much better than expected given some of the reviews I have read on this site.  The mains, in general, were excellent. The beef massaman curry was the best I have ever tasted and the choo-chee fish was stunning. The only disappointment was with the Pad Thai, which was one of the worst I have ever had.  However...

Good quality Asian food for those who are not feeling too adventuress. The food looked and tasted great but was not anything  different or exciting. The service was friendly and the food came very quickly. The restaurant was very quiet, not even some background music to create some atmosphere. Perhaps take-away is the way to go.

Personnel amical, service efficace, belle ambiance (parfaite pour une date). Notre nourriture est sortie assez rapidement, les deux plats étaient de bonne taille sert, plein de viande et de fruits de mer, une grande dégustation. Bien prix, toujours bien, mais pas "Soule-toi fantastique". C'est BYO qui est un bonus!

I don't think I've been to a Cambodian restaurant before. Unfortunately I was way too hungry to remember to take photos for here, so you'll have to trust me that it looked great. And it tasted even better. I highly recommend the Massaman (sp?) curry - mild & delicious. BYO anything alcoholic is a plus too

Mon partenaire et moi venons ici souvent. Toujours un service rapide et amical, une atmosphère décontractée et la nourriture sont toujours fraîches. Semble être très populaire dans le week-end alors paie pour réserver.
