We arrived to a very warm, friendly welcome and were seated straight away. The staff wore masks throughout our whole visit and hand sanitiser was available on all the tables. The facilities were all clean. The food arrived to our table in good time, so we did not wait long inbetween ordering and receiving our food. The menu had a very good variety that would suit both people who like mild or spicy food. The portions were very generous and the food was very delicious. The staff gave little extras after our meal: orange slices, coffee liqueur or a tropical juice and chocolate with the bill. I had a wonderful meal at this beautifully decorated curry house. Even if you don't go in with specific expectations, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The food selection was excellent, particularly the special section of the menu. As a first-time visitor, I found it hard to choose! Our meal was delicious—perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. The naan was crispy, just the way I like it. We enjoyed everything along with some classic Kingfisher beers. This is a great restaurant, and it's a must-visit if you're in Potters Bar!
We all thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Tamarind. The menu featured a wide range of specials from all over India, including many dishes I had never encountered before. The friendly and engaging staff provided excellent recommendations and encouraged us to be a bit more adventurous in our choices from their specials, expertly tailoring their suggestions to our tastes. Each dish was beautifully presented, with generous portions, and everything tasted incredibly fresh and delicious! By far the best Indian restaurant I have discovered in the area!
After ordering takeaway from Tamarind for quite some time, I finally decided to dine in tonight. The food tasted even better when served fresh than it did when delivered. The staff were friendly, and the service was fantastic. From now on, I will definitely prefer to visit in person whenever I can (though the takeaway food is excellent, too). Without a doubt, this is the best Indian restaurant I have ever visited (and I've been to many), and it may very well be the best restaurant in Potters Bar overall. Réservez une table maintenant
We had our first visit to the Tamarind Indian Restaurant in Potters Bar, and wow, what an amazing dinner! Every dish was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The service was fantastic as well, thanks to Islam and the rest of the staff. If you enjoy Indian cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit at your earliest opportunity. It’s no surprise that it has been named the best Indian restaurant in Hertfordshire. Both the food and service are five stars. We will definitely be back soon!
I had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by some of the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. They were always attentive and polite, and everything was very well-kept. The menu selection was fantastic, providing a variety of options without being overwhelming, and its design made it easy to navigate. The service was prompt but not rushed, and the entire dining experience was exceptional from beginning to end.
I was really impressed with Tamarind. The food was delicious and flavorful, making for a truly enjoyable experience. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant. A big thank you to the waitstaff for providing such excellent service. As for parking, we found a spot in the car park across from the restaurant after 6:30 PM. We had a lovely dinner, and the price per person was around £20–30.
I enjoyed a fantastic meal here with my friends last night. Everything I tried was expertly prepared and truly authentic. I especially recommend the Jalfray sizzler, Hariyali chicken, and garlic chilli chicken masala. The naans and rice were fresh and bursting with flavor. The waitstaff were very friendly as well.
