A good solid Japanese restaurant. It is a bit hidden inside the plaza, especially with the dimmed lighting, but the inside is filled with a Japanese village ambiance, very cozy too. Their menu has a wide variety of ramen, sushi, and bentos, with a lunch specials too for some good sets. I have been here a couple times but only ordered their sushi ramen set. It is a pretty good deal, price and quality wise. The tonkatsu ramen I got is not too heavy and has a clean bone broth taste, but could add bit more flavoring. This place is great if you're looking for decent quality sushi on a budget. We came for a quick lunch and tried a mix of items on their lunch special. My favorites were the teriyaki and Tempura. We also got the sashimi, cutlet and a roll. Overall I was happy with the food and even more so with the price. I would definitely come back here
I had the Tampopo Ramen. Chashu was grilled: Very dry. Boiled egg had runny yolk, which isn't common. The broth is EXCELLENT ?, and the noodles were perfectly firm.Miso soup is very flavorful. I always enjoy visiting this restaurant. The prices are very affordable compared to many other Japanese places. The skewers are around $9 each and are a decent size. My personal favorite is the chicken teriyaki; it's tender and delicious. Overall, I would rate the food a 5 out of 5.
