Went for dinner. Restaurant virtually empty but was still noisy as a school canteen due to bare floors and clattering chairs every time somebody moved. Kids running around shouting, parents couldn't care less so decided to sit outside. Menus came promptly and was then ignored for at least 15-20 minutes due only 2 staff on duty and takeaway orders getting priority.Eventually ordered set menu for 4. Food was ok but after the starters kids were already getting full so we asked if two of the mains could be put in takeaway containers and just the others brought to the table. Apparently that was too difficult for the chef - "not possible with the banquet only if food ordered a la carte" !! What's...
The service was horrendous, the waitress took nearly 15 minutes to come to us for drinks and to order our food, we then waited another 45 minutes for the mains to come out. A family who came at the same time as us had left after an hour of waiting for their food. The waitress did not check, so another twenty minutes had passed until she noticed- she then proceed to complain to other customers about them leaving (they left money for the one drink they ordered). There was also another group that had been ignored entirely for half an hour. The food was not great. The portions are not in proportion to the price they have been given. If you order naan- you will get half the size you would normall...
The restaurant looks pleasant and has outdoor seating. Staff were courteous and I was seated promptly. I ordered lamb samosas and tandoori chicken. The food arrived quickly, The lamb samosas lacked flavour which was surprising for Indian food. The tandoori chicken was good and a generous serving. Both dishes had a little of salad, perhaps mainly for decoration, which looked very tired. The cost of both dishes was very reasonable. The service varied from attentive and helpful to indifferent.
My partner and I visited this eatery on recommendation of a close friend from interstate as we were interested in sampling the style of cuisine as per his description. We were NOT disappointed at all. Great staff, warm welcome, real family style décor and very good food taste and quality. We will be back as we have a group of "foody" friends here in Cairns that like to explore the different eating establishments on a regular basis.

went for the meal yesterday, started off well with drinks served quickly, then one and a quarter hours later we were still waiting for food despite the fact that 2 other tables received their food before us (and arrived after us) paid for the one drink and left after 9pm very diapointed. wont be going back.
We love Indian foods, more tasty like other asian cookings. This Tandoori has great taste. Love the herbs and small cuts in the rice. It just perfect not just plain coconut rice. Rice Mango always match with any other rice, but coconut rice is the best. Try the Prawn Salads as well, you would love it.
We went to the Restaurant at about 8.00 in the evening. While there were not many customers - service was pretty slow. It took more than one and half hour finish dinner. Food served was good in taste but bit cold. Overall an average experience
We had dinner here and it was delicious. Beef Rogan Josh chicken tikka and naan bread so yummy. Reasonably priced pretty quick service and nice friendly staff. If you love Indian food I would recommend this restaurant in Cairns.

Food was excellent, but it did take a long time. Price was very good, I would eat there again. Could do with a decor refresh
Love the food here. We go often and have never been disappointed. Prices are reasonable. Recommend for dine in or take away
