I've visited Tank Libby's many times, but today I opted for takeout, and the experience was disappointing. The older woman at the takeout counter prioritized serving other tables before acknowledging me, even though another man who saw me waiting went ahead of me (that's a whole other issue). The waitress served him first, then walked away to attend to other guests, even though she knew I was there waiting. When she finally turned to me, she acted as if I was an inconvenience. She processed my payment and instructed me to sign with my finger before just walking off without giving me my receipt. As for the atmosphere, my friend and I struggled to hear each other because of the high noise level. To top it off, the floor underneath my feet was sticky. On a positive note, our waitress was excellent. I plan to give the restaurant another try in the future to sample a different dish. I've been visiting this restaurant for a few years now, and there's always something to suit different tastes, dietary needs, and moods. It can get quite busy at times, but the service remains quick and attentive. This time, we decided to try Libby's special pancake for dessert, and it was definitely worth the wait! Of course, it was gone before anyone thought to take a photo!
The food is excellent, but I’m giving 5 stars for our server, Lisa! I had only been here twice, yet Lisa remembered my partner and me during our second visit, which was such a lovely surprise! I highly recommend asking to be seated with Lisa on your next visit. From now on, this will be our go-to breakfast spot, as the service and food are unmatched anywhere else in Delco.
I had a wonderful breakfast here a couple of weekends ago. The service was excellent; we were seated quickly and attended to promptly.
