"A great place! We stopped here for a quick drink because I was tired but ended up having a meal superb! Some of the best pimientos de padron we’ve ever had, and excellent home made croquets. And superb bread with walnuts and something else! Friendly, helpful service, and very reasonable prices! And lovely toilets!"

Tempted in to this restaurant by its €8 pilgrim menu promising a salad, a main course, bread and a drink. The waitresses didn't speak English forgivable, but a friendly vibe was not received by us from the off. The salad was a large portion of 70% lettuce with old seeming tomatoes, grim tasting breadcrumbs and Brie cheese? The contrast of flavours was bizarre and frankly off putting. One main received a fried vegetable medley was obviously made out of frozen vegetables as they were soggy, covered with a strong soya sauce that was rather grim. The other main consisted of 5 or 6 chicken wings with no sauce placed on a bed of crushed up salted crisps.. thankfully the beer helped wash it down. A...

We found this pleasant and cosy place by accident just near the town cathedral, it has a very good value. Decoration is really nice with a mix of young, wooden, traditional and artisan vibes. We had: Rioja red (Appellation of Controlled Origin . wine (1.80€ per glass, came with bread and traditional chourizo for free. Cheese plate, (2.50€ excellent presentation variety and quality(pictures apple jam and poppy seeds Came with more traditional bread for free. Iberic Porc steak on toast, (2.50€ Chourizo and quail egg on toast (2.50€ This is ideal for small groups of people who want to know a bit of local food . They also do large groups as they have a room on the top floor but we didnt go there...

We really enjoyed this place. We sat in their upstairs dining room. The waitress was very cordial and helpful. My wife is lactose intolerant, as was the waitress, and recommended a few delicious dishes. The empanada de Millo, Croquetas, and Picaña with potatoes were all delicious. Service was excellent. You could tell it is authentic because the menu was in Gallego, which was not a problem for those of us who speak Spanish. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an authentic local experience. Stay away from other places with menus in two or three languages. They are extremely overpriced and prey on unaware tourists.

There were 4 vegetarian main options on the menu, not just the usual tortilla and patatas bravas. Tofu and beans great flavor. Wok vegetables also tasty with lots of different vegetables and seeds, but too many mushrooms for me. My husband and I got one of each and mixed together which worked very well. My brother ordered the vegan hamburger which was huge; unusually it came with crisps not chips. They had lots of varities of vermouth and wine.
