Tapasya Restaurant and Bar

First time at Tapasya so.... Booked for a Monday evening and as expected, and like most restaurants, will always be quiet, however, three tables covered so some 'atmosphere ', the staff were very attentive and friendly, and the food really was delicious. Unlike most Indian restaurants the menu is quite small, so they can make sure each dish is very good and freshly prepared. The web image is for 'Indian fine dining '. Yes, it certainly seems to be! I haven 't tasted Indian food as good as this for a very long time, nor had napkins placed on my lap in any Indian restaurant! The food at this restaurant was outstanding. The chicken was juicy, the lamb was tender, and the sauces were both spicy and fragrant. The rice and nan were cooked to perfection. The drinks were served elegantly, and when they didn't have the gin we wanted, they provided us with a comprehensive list of alternatives. We went on a Saturday evening and despite it being busy, the service was efficient. The only downside was the noise level. The chatter echoed and it was difficult to hear each other at a normal volume, becoming nearly impossible towards the end of the evening. If you're looking for a quieter experience, it's best to avoid Saturdays. However, the delicious food makes up for it.

Have been once before and I was a little bit disappointed probably because my expectations were so high. I brought two friends from out of town here to show them something different and more upmarket from their usual visits. They , and I were so impressed even from the minute we walked through the door. Went for the taster with wine option but we could have had gins from the festival. We couldn't fault a course or the accompanying wine. Definitely coming back with my wife.

The service from the point of making the booking was very good, the majority of the food was outstanding, and I think that if I had tried some of the more unusual dishes, rather than a chicken tikka for my main this would have also been the case, don't get me wrong the chicken tikka was very nice, just not out of the ordinary. The staff and manager went out of their way to accommodate my vegan husband.

The restaurant was quiet but it built up steadily. We were well looked after and not being expert with Indian food, we had good assistance in food choice. The food came as described and in good time and was very tasty. The menu was very varied and comprehensive. A well conducted restaurant.

This restaurant offers the best authentic Italian cuisine in the area. Their delicious bread comes with a slightly spicy garlic dip, which is complimentary.

As always with Tapasya, lovely food, excellent service and something a bit different this time their own private gin festival! Fab evening.

This restaurant is excellent and amazing, I would give it a perfect 10 out of 10 rating. The only downside is that it can be quite pricey.

Gina's never disappoints! The service is top-notch and the food is superb. We started with the bruschetta, which was fresh and delicious.

We had the gin taster menu, it was amazing, each course explained to us and the food was incredible! 100% recommend
