Nice wine bar in the centre of Avignon. They don't have a wine list per se but select a glass/bottle based on your preferences. This can put a few people off, but it works and it keeps the selections fresh. Service was strained at times, but that reflected the volume of customer arrivals which seemed to occur all at the same time (everybody must have had the same idea for a few drinks). The planche mixte was very good indeed and their terrine au poulet is sensational (I normally dislike terrines but this has opened my eyes). Would happily return.
Superb wine list. Excellent wines. I would have given 5 stars but greatly regretted that we were not made to choose the wine with a menu but by voice because they did not want to give us a wine list ? and on the other hand, the large round table there were 5 of us , dirty and stained, was not cleaned before we ate I'm not a stickler but a minimum of cleanliness is essential in this kind of place . Correct tapas board. Rare place to offer Pinot Noir in the region.
Grand bar à vin situé à Avignon dans la vieille ville. L'endroit est confortable et chaleureux. Le propriétaire donne de très bons conseils et connaît parfaitement sa cave. Et en plus, il est drôle et sa conversation est la plus agréable. Les platters servis avec le vin sont prudents et variés. C’est une adresse rare à noter dans votre journal. It's hard to enjoy wine when you're treated like this. I can understand that a language barrier is difficult, but that shouldn't just be our problem. We came here to eat but after a glass of wine for 10 euros we were no longer interested and we hungrily looked for something else. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
