Not sure where to begin as the experience was totally unexpected. A family member was told about this basic restaurant that served Chinese food from the northern region. Curious, we set off to find this restaurant and it was definitely worth it.The food was delicious and confusing as we didn't expect to be eating Chinese food that tastes nothing like Chinese food. It's a must try experience!Make sure to order the lamb skewers. We have had lamb skewers from many cultural cuisines, but I must say, these were arguably the best.
This place is deceptively simple and unattractive from outside. But OMG, the food served here is fresh , delicious, most authentic Uygur flavours, so tasty- it's worth driving to, even all the way from the Eastern and Northern suburbs. Very reasonable prices, good service- a wonderful exotic experience and a lovely place for a very casual family lunch/dinner.
I saw this place from the train and decided to get off the train and explore as I'd never experienced Uygher cuisine before. Essentially it's halfway between Chinese and Turkish cuisine and totally delicious. The place is very understated but the service was very friendly and effecient and the food was incredible - freshly cooked and very tasty.
This restaurant is really all about the food. We really enjoyed the noodles and it was great to find a place offering dishes we hadn't tried before.The setup of the restaurant is pretty basic. The service was friendly. It's conveniently located just across the road from Auburn station.Serving sizes are generous and the prices were reasonable.

My friend recommended this place - My first time food from this region of China- it's a great fusion of Chinese and Arabic - so good! Great cosy atmosphere and super clean too. Really friendly family that runs the place. I live in Bondi and coming to Auburn to experience this is like going on a mini cultural holiday:)
very simple, lil family restaurant and its very unattractive from outside...but the food they serve there is 100% authentic Uyghur food. went to another Uyghur restaurant im darling harbour few days back, Tarim is way better. most importantly they have very reasonable price.
This restaurant is definitely worth a visit! It doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is very different and interesting. Everything is reasonably priced and the staff are very helpful and friendly.

Nice family run restaurant like the variety of dishes they serve. Went with family and friends and all enjoyed the food.
Great home style atmosphere with even better food. Chilli king prawn dish is a must!! Yum cant wait to visit again
