We’re afternoon drinking people. However! We popped in for a pint on a Friday evening and ended up staying for the whole night there was live music from a group of 3 guitarists who were absolutely fabulous and got everyone joining in, but not so loud that you couldn’t still have a chat. Went back on a Saturday afternoon and ended up talking to a lovely local couple. Just really easy going, friendly, comfortable, cozy and doesn’t feel like one of those ‘big chain’ pubs!
We visit here on a regular basis as the food,service, and value for money is always way above average. The staff and manager are always so polite and happy to see everyone. The standard of the food is always spot on and cooked to perfection with a good choice and specials board. Highly recommended. Great location with amazing views of the beech
My Wife I visited yesterday (Sunday) for Lunch we were extremely impressed with the whole Meal! Set Menu at £35 for four courses was very good value as all courses were very tasty, hot well presented! Service was also excellent! Couldn't fault anything! Would definitely recommend also return again soon!
We were visiting Broadstairs for the weekend and decided to try the Tartar Frigate restaurant after reading other reviews. They didn't disappoint. Staff were so attentive and friendly and went above and beyond to look after us. Food was delicious and worth every penny. Gorgeous place! Réservez une table maintenant
We visited the upstairs restaurant for Sunday lunch. Friendly staff and great service. The food was fantastic and good size portions. Husband doesn’t like soup normally but had two bowls. The prawn cocktail was the best he has had. Thank you for a great lunch.
Friendly staff, right on the front, lovely home cooked meal, would recommend. Had a promotion on spirits, which was nice. Frequented by regulars, which speaks volumes.
Too expensive, not very impressed. The starters were lovely but the main meals were under whelming. We would not recommend and will not be returning.
