Don’t do it! It’s a violation against tapas and spanish/canarian food! We ordered white bait in vinegar, home made croquettes with aioli, padron capsicum peppers, wrinkled potatoes with mojos and bread topped with pork sirloin, caramelized onion, apple and cheese garlic dressing. White bait straight from the fridge, ready made. Nothing wrong to mise en place the food, but the tomatoes in the dish were too cold and tasteless. We also ordered some bread, because we wanted to dip the bread into the oil of all the dishes. We got one ”fresh” bun and some rusk and dry crackers. Maybe nice for waiting the food, not nice with the food. The fish was ok. Not great. Home made croquettes. I can’t even… no. Mushy and tasteless. Aioli? No. The peppers? Ok, there were lots of peppers. Bitter peppers, worse than I get from market back home in Finland. At this point I must say, all the dishes came separately. Usually tapas come all together or a bit overlapping. We got the first tapa (white bait) about 30 mins after we came, the second (peppers) ten minutes after. The third (papas arrugadas) five minutes after the second. The fourth 15 mins after the third… I would have preferred to taste papas arrugadas with all the tapas… but no, they were totally cold when the next dish arrived. So. Papas arrugadas. Terrible. Mushy, tasteless, nearly sweet (suomalaisille: koulun kumiperunat) with a little salt on the top. I hope nobody thinks this is papas arrugadas. Seriously. And the bread with pork sirkoin. Too sweet, didn’t taste the pork. I scratched the sweet ”apple jam” away. Still like a weird dessert. We had a couple of shots, they were the best part of our dinner. And the service? They seemed to know the food is baaaaaad. Nobody asked if the food was ok. Just took the (nearly) empty plates and our money. When we left, they just walked by us quickly… All this time, there was three tables of two persons. So probably not their busiest night?

Don’t be fooled this is definitely NOT the 9th best restaurant in Tenerife, in fact, not even in Porto de la Cruz. The menu on the website it’s not the same venue in person and this is dishonest. Secondly, the Restaurant doesn’t even take credit card only cash which is not stated on the website. This annoyed me greatly. As for the food, it is well cooked and flavoured. For what it was I would argue you are paying for the city centre location, and it is more modern casual dining than the ‘local olive oil’ gastronomic experience they sell to you on the website. Also it is next to the busy tourist shopping area and the restaurant itself is very small has no atmosphere. Our server was a nice guy, I just wished the restaurant itself matched expectations. Have no idea how they accrued such good ratings, it really is pretty unremarkable, and slightly overpriced.

We visited this restaurant yesterday and wished we hadn’t. This used to be a particular favourite but no longer. Apparently there’s been a change in management and kitchen since our visit a year ago and it shows. It used to be a popular and seemingly thriving restaurant but it doesn’t appear to be so now. My particular favourite, a spicy chicken with peppers dish, has disappeared from the menu along with several others but one still remained, pork tenderloin with apple and a mustard sauce. What a disappointment! Very much doubt that the meat served was pork tenderloin as there was nothing tender about it. Beer was nice and cold and the waiter was working stoically in the heat and they were the only redeeming features of our visit. From being a favourite this is now in pile, do not visit again

Fantastic hosts. Food was delicious went for the sardines and chees and tomatoe salad hubbie had the Spanish omelette. Very fresh and delicious ingredients. Was made to feel very relaxed and welcomed. Nothing too much trouble. Marco was very friendly accomodating and good company as was the man that took over but sadly didn't get his name. Highly recommend it. Made a good start to our day on the beach.
