I am very critical of restaurants. I have no qualms burying a restaurant with the truth. In this case the truth is this place is fantastic. The food was delicious, healthy and fresh. The options will satisfy a diverse group of your family and friends. The service was prompt, responsive and just shy of intrusive. The atmosphere was light and casual. The price was on the low side of high priced but well worth the expense. I have been to a taste of Portugal twice and I have not been disappointed. The food here is excellent. I have never been here when the place has been full, which is a bit offsetting. But the food is great. On the weekends they have roast goat which is divine. The bar area looks more local and casual, which I like, just have always sat in the restaurant part. I always have the same waiter, sorry I don’t know his name, but he is great! They are all nice there

Everything on the menu is delicious. The waitstaff exhibits great teamwork and is very attentive to the needs of customers. This was my and my partner's first time eating here, and we came with our close friend. We were all very happy and satisfied with our experience. Two thumbs up!

Taste of Portugal is exactly what its name suggests. I discovered this gem when I flew out of the Eternal City years ago and have loved it ever since. Our go-to Portuguese restaurant in Newark's Ironbound district. Great for lunch and dinner. Always a selection of daily specials and a good variety of meat and fish dishes. Nice selection of wine and excellent espresso, with a little Anisette of course.

I visited taste when portugal for a event. that was delicious. the kind and wise how to taste Portuguese food. the waiters were very attentive, which made the entire culinary experience pleasant. I would definitely recommend it.

Great Portuguese food. Service is also great. The establishment is clean. Variety of wine available. They have Saturday specials on the menu.
