Taste: Plant Based

Joe worked for many years at his family's meat market next door. After becoming vegan in 2016, He introduced a few vegan items, such as the eggplant meatballs and chickpeas marinara, and they were a big hit. After trying a few additional vegan selections and seeing that there was a demand, even among the non-vegetarian customers, his family supported his efforts and helped him start his own shop next door, selling only plant-based items. I recently visited Taste for the first time over the weekend to try a variety of dishes. Joe was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about their products and vegan herbal recipes. I thoroughly enjoyed everything I tried! My favorites were the lentil-black bean soup, the tomato-cashew soup (so delicious!), the buffalo-chickpea salad, and the stuffed bell peppers (delightful!). It was also a relief not having to cook as much this week since the dishes I purchased were perfect for quick and tasty lunches. I am excited to see this business continue to thrive!

We tried a few different Taste meals: eggplant meatballs, stuffed peppers, vegan chili, and ravioli.. everything was amazing! Very fresh and delicious. Really surprised at how fresh the meals were, given that they were frozen. Highly recommend!

There were so many wonderful choices. The eggplant meatballs are unbelievable. The Bolognese was so good. The meals are good to mix and match. I can't wait to go back!
