I don't understand all the rave reviews claiming that this is the best sub place in Mercer County. My wife and I decided to try it out for the first time. She ordered the super sub and I got the tuna sub. Hers was okay, although smaller than expected based on the description. My tuna sub was incredibly disappointing. It was poorly made and lacked any flavor. I ordered it with salad and barely even noticed it was there. Definitely not worth the money. There is nothing unique or exceptional about the taste that would make it worth it. There are much better mom and pop sandwich shops, like Jersey Mike's and Classic Subs, in the area. This restaurant is always amazing. I have loved it before and still do. I have to give serious credit to this place because they go above and beyond to accommodate my friend's mother who is very allergic to tuna. Whenever we order sandwiches for her, they use new gloves, wipe down the counter, use a brand new knife, and ensure that all the meat and cheese are freshly cut. They also use all fresh ingredients from new bags in the refrigerator, including the mayo, oil, and vinegar. I'm with Doug! Grew up with Tastee subs in Edison. We used to get 2 whole subs and take them with us when we went down the shore. When we moved to Franklin Park, there it was, another one right down the street! Now a third one. Completely awesome. I could just eat the fresh baked bread plain but of course I don't because the subs are so good. And stop calling them hoagies! They're subs!
BEST SUBS in town. My friends went to Rider College back years ago and raved about this spot. I thought it would just a college hangout type sub shop but it is so great. You get a good size sub for the price, really nice and friendly staff, and clean.Overall a really great experience.

The bread was good and the sub was decent, but the meat and cheese seemed to be past their expiration date. Make sure to check the expiration dates on packaged goods. We only purchased a one-liter soda and when we got home, we realized it had expired three months ago.
Have been going to the Franklin Park and to some extent Edison location for years, doesn't meet the standard of those two shops whatsoever, the bread was a little tough and the there was barely any tuna and tasted like it needed more mayo in the tuna. Not impressed.
I was all willing to get a taste sub and as I stood in the line, I noticed that all the workers had no masks in preparing and handling food. it just turned me off. all customers in the line had masks on interesting!
Nice people, soup and subs. Definitely wasn't disappointed! Sad I don't live closer. This would be a regular stop.

I try to come here every time I'm in Mercer County. The Supersub (Italian) and the pepper relish are excellent.
That was the best smoked turkey hoagie I had in a minute. Loved every bite.
