Middle Eastern food is not a concept that can be duplicated over and over or offered on a large scale via chain restaurants. It's a way of life, It's about sharing authentic recipes with family, friends, and guests. Mohammed, the owner of tasty falafels, embodies all that. Not only is the food he makes outstanding, but his hospitality is simply on another level. Next time I am in New York, I know where to get my fix of authentic Middle Eastern food.
Tasty Falafel is a cute little corner restaurant in Cliffside Park, NJ. We recently stopped in for take out and and it's pretty solid. Their falafel is clearly their signature dish for good reason. Very tasty. We also had their chicken, which is very good too. Happy we found this little spot and will try to return sometime soon to try more dishes.

If you want real middle eastern food take the drive to Paterson. The driest and coldest food I’ve ever had! Definitely not worth the money!
