I went here with a table of 14 people, some were fairly new to Japanese food beyond sushi rolls. I choose the tempura which was light crispy and delicious, and included plenty of prawns and also some salmon along with the veges, it was one of the better examples of tempura I've had, and I've had a lot! Everyone else seemed equally pleased with the flavor of their dishes, my only warning is that serving sizes are moderate so order an entree as well. But otherwise a great little spot with yum food worth a look see, and they do byo with minimal corkage so take advantage and bring your favorite as the wine list is not huge.
This is one of those Japanese restaurants that serves Japanese food, authentically, using great ingredients, lovely flavours, well cooked and generous servings. This is a winner in my eyes. The service staff were really friendly and were happy to receive us...thats a first! Tataki tuna was perfect, edamame was warm and tasty, gyoza were fantastic, suki yaki was delicious, teriyaki barramundi was excellent. All diners were really happy. only one flaw - so noisy! - Some soft furnishings on the wall would help.
This was the first time that I had ever tried Japanese food, I was very impressed.The food was really tasty they have a lot to choice from and the prices were reasonable,we will be going back it not a very big restaurant but it is very cosy and the food is really good. Just a tip you will have to book as they were really busy the night that we werethere.
Lovely friendly staff. Nice ambience. I've walked past so many times and observed the plastic food in the window. The food inside was delicious. Excellent menu. Our only issue was that the meals didn't come out together. A bit frustrating when you ve finished yours and the others haven't even been served. Also make sure you book as it was VERY busy.

Have been coming to Tataki for a few years now and it never disappoints. Great service, tasty food and cheap for the quality you receive. My personal favourite is the spicy calamari but everything is good. Will definitely be back in the next few months.
We absolutely love this restaurant. A great little Japanese restaurant with great food. The owners are friendly and the food and produce is always fresh. We have been here a few times and we will be back. Great casual place with great food.
We were quickly shown to a table and orders taken. While restaurant wasn't busy, it should have been. My chicken udon was yum, gyoza tasty and my friend's tepanyako salmon delicious, all reasonably priced. Go try it!
Nice cosy atmosphere, attentive staff, delicious food. The Chardonnay was a bit to be desired but they had it, so can't complain about that. I would recommend for a quiet, seemingly authentic Japanese dinner.

The bill was $179 for four people, that was 4 entrees 4 mains 2 desert and 300 ml of saki The serves were a bit on the small side but the food was really good. Great quality very tasty .
Pleasant environment, low key and with an extensive menu. Attentive service and prompt response to any requests.
