We had an early booking for a birthday as we had 3 young kids. We were 7 adults. The food was plentiful, filling and very tasty. However, the service was awful. There was hardly anyone else in the restaurant, but it still took over 10 minutes before we were asked if we would like a drink and it was a further 18 minutes before the drinks arrived. We had to chase the waiter to take our food order. Two other tables, who arrived after us were served before us. When the food did finally arrive it was 1 person at a time, the first order was also wrong. In all it took over 10 minutes for all the food to be served and, to top it all, the rice was cold.
My friend and I went there yesterday evening for is birthday. My friend had the Kefta Tagine and I had the hot Meze. Presentation was great and a fantastic variety for the Meze. For Dessert we both had the Baklawa. House Red was very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a very enjoyable time and it was excellent value for money. Very well worth a visit. We will definitely be going again.
Another great dinner at Tavan. We had beyti kebab and lamb sac, both of dishes were delicious and full of flavour. We tried lamb sac for the first time and it surprised us of how tasty it was. Staff members are friendly and very presentable. They also have new restrooms which are great. The flowery wall is good addition to environment as it looks modern as well as Turkish vibe. Keep up the good work
The food was amazing, delicious and extremely flavourful, this ranks right up there as one of the best restaurants I have been to. As an American who was in the USAF, I have eaten in many countries, this place, Tavan was beautiful. I had the Kefta Tagine, and my wife had Pilici Shish, the Hummus, Feta salad, and Sucuk for starters, you really need to give this place a try

Nice looking interior , fairly large menu. Female server a bit abrupt and appeared bored. Food was served promptly. Nothing very exciting about the food some of it was overcooked and abit dry, not a great dealof flavour as one might expect from this quisine.
On a recent business trip, I visited here with my family. I can honestly say, it was one of the best meals I have ever had. If this restaurant was local to me, I would be visiting it all the time. Yum yum yummmmm

The food was fantastic, the service was very good, all staff very friendly, a must go to place. Will certainly be returning to try more of the menu.

Food is to die for. Would 100% return if we are ever in Peterborough again. Really good value for money and exceptional service
