Tavern on the Square

We went for dinner after some recommendations. Great place , hidden gem , been in business many years , so we were expecting something decent. First bad encounter was one of the appetizers: we asked if there is any cream on it, server very kindly said I will...ask...no problem sir... the eggplant was covered in cheese. We said that 's cheese... ....he said.. Sir, you asked if there is any cream... . His point...next time we will be more precise. Am I crazy to expect him to put 2 and 2 together? The food was very average at best. Overcooked shrimps, salty chicken wings, uncooked eggplant for $18, fish and bland mac and cheese for $38. I won 't recommend this place at all. [hidden link]

A large, well-equipped restaurant is located on the basis of a large high-rise building. Friendly hosts sat immediately and server quickly came with menus and drink orders. Our Caesar Salads consisted of an unknown type of salad? to us with... Anchovies, crèches and Parmesan cheese and a delicious dressing. Our Tagliatelle (here but fatuccine elsewhere) Pasta dishes were very well cooked pasta with garlic and parmesan cheese perfectly cooked. Our Key Lime pie deserts lacked a tarty lime taste, but still tasted good. Menu prices seemed somewhat too high for quality served. Server was very friendly, helpful and efficient.

My first time in this restaurant made me a fan. The food was superb, everyone had different items but expressed delight; I had the tandoori chicken salad which was crunchy and scrumptious. We were a huge group of work colleagues and our friendly waiter, Scott,...had taken our orders, but then more arrived and people changed seats, and then again. He remained unflustered and somehow managed to keep everything straight. By the end of the meal, due to socializing and milling about the group of over 30 people was all mixed up, yet he got the right bills to the right people with a smile. I'll be back!

Always enjoy TOTS. Great ambiance and free parking! Today was a bit of a disappointment. The $24 salad had 4 small shrimp and very small portion of lettuce. Definitely more of a starter versus main dish. I can justify the lack of shrimp but pile...on the lettuce at least. Also, allergies are a serious issue. Despite telling the server (who was nice btw) of a dairy allergy they brought me milk for my coffee. Also you guys should have a milk alternative like most other restaurants. At least soy or coconut milk for those clients who cannot have dairy. Réservez une table maintenant

We were seated quickly, ordered cocktails while waiting for our friends to arrive. Checked out the menu while waiting. When all had arrived, we ordered. The salmon tartare was delicious I asked for it as an appetizer, and the Restaurant was accommodating). The veal...loin piccata was very nicely prepared. My husband had the calamari which was fairly standard. The main dish...the catch of the day, fancy named cod was absolutely fluffy and light since he allowed me to have a taste. It was a pleasant experience with friends.

I am completely surprised. I did not expect to spend so much money at this restaurant for a basic meal. A five ounce steak costs $42, which comes out to $135 per pound. On top of that, they charge an additional $12 for fries because the steak comes with nothing else. It feels like a complete rip-off. This will be my last visit. Be careful when dining here. You can find better and more reasonably priced food elsewhere. What a disappointing experience. Good luck!

My best friend son , birthday party , a table of five From the time I walked in , the bar tender was pleasant , knew his wine and gave an amazing service , the waiter as well , we ordered our food , my...Quebec tomato salad was very good , my pasta ... not so .... over cooked in the oven but tasted ok My friends dinner , mostly meat was very good according to them So , I know next time to order one of the meat dishes

The food at this restaurant is consistently good. The atmosphere was quieter than usual. The lobster crab risotto was exceptional. The wine selection is sufficient, but the desserts were slightly average and not as good as their usual desserts. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant. Réservez une table maintenant

All of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the service was top-notch. The spaghetti with spicy tomato sauce and anchovy was a standout. My wife adored her New York steak, and I highly suggest trying the amazing key lime cake for dessert.

I eat here as often as possible. The staff, food, atmosphere are all top notch. It's like hanging out with family.
