Taverne du Pirate

We are here twice, the Food was very good as was the wine. Good location overlooking the harbour and within easy reach of the town. Our first meal there was good enough to make us go back but the service on our second night was fantastic, the best we'd had in two weeks of touring Europe. I'm not sure if Brexit has had an effect in our European neighbours but we ate out every day twice a day and the Pirate was the only place we felt really welcome, add in great food and its a winner . The Fish casserole was excellent and not expensive, it's my recommendation .

Service vraiment mauvais et pas amical envers les clients. Ils n'ont pas donné de verres avec l'eau. Les boissons sont arrivées après le premier plat. Après le plat principal, ils ont donné les verres pour l'eau. Ils ont répondu très impoli quand on a posé une question.

Nourriture épouvantable et service assez médiocre. Le serveur qui a repris mon deuxième plat m'a dit que c'est ainsi que le poisson est cuit à Dieppe... J'ai mangé ici depuis 30 ans et c'est la pire expérience que j'ai jamais eue. Ne venez pas.

Helpful in translating the menu to English and describing the meals. Had the set meals for approx 15 euros which was plentiful with lots of choice. Lovely location next to the harbour. Would recommend.

I can’t believe how long the wait is I can see my life flashing before my eyes... I’ve been here 45 minutes and just got the menu. Wish me luck!!!
