IMO, this is the best Greek restaurant in Weiden, and I have eaten at them all. This is the only one I keep coming back to on a regular basis when I feel like Greek food. I see a lot of reviews complaining about the owner, Georgios, and I have to say that he has always been friendly and respectful to me. And, I've never see him treating people poorly; so, I don't see what the problem is here. The gyros and the calamari taste great, and the taramas is fantastic. A friend of mine swears that that he liver and onions are the best for miles around too. Rhodos has a nice Biergarten for the summer that is quite pleasant too.
The food is standard, pricing was ok. We considered it as an alternative to the already numerous Greek restaurants in Weiden. The thing that really ruined it for us was the owner: Gastronomy is focused on serving guests, you would no believe how rude the boss (also waiter) can get. He was raising his voice when requested to pay by voucher "why we didn't mention this before". He is the guy in a suit, the manager. No ouzo for free, change smashed on the table - we were stomped. Be prepared, he has a temper!My rating is poor because the owner is the make or break person in charge and he let us down.
We've heard about this restaurant that it has an excellent food quality and a miserable service. It wasn't the case by us. We were satisfied with everything. The restaurant and the establishment are a little bit old and old-fashioned. They are going to move in a couple of months however. The food quality was excellent, the portions huge. The waiter (who is the owner) quite attentive and friendly. I don't know, maybe he has some bad-mood days and moments but we were happy to experience one of his good days.
already when you come in comes one of the chefs with a friendly laugh and extended hand to personal greetings.The eating has always very good quality and tastes very tasty - personally I don't like the tomato rice here, but that's a good thing.A small manko is still like so often that you smell where you were eating, because the to taste is not the best - if there is. this does not stop from going to eat here, as the quality and the ease of the staff make it good again. Drinks were just too expensive, and it simply throws a totally imaginative and unfriendly top! had received the recommendation at the ice hockey game. but that was nix! at the next visit to weiden it goes somewhere else.
