What an awful experience we went to eat tonight our server was rude, dismissive and extremely cavalier about how upset we were about our experience. We voiced how disappointing it was and didn’t even get an apology! We must’ve been seated in the time out table because literally no one payed attention to us at all. The only reason they got 2 stars for the food was because my entree (spider roll) was good. My sister had said let’s leave once we saw we were so unimportant to come take orders, to even put the settings on the table!! I had to get up to get my sister chop sticks and a napkin. We’ll never return so sad once upon a time this place was relatively good.
This is an incredible restaurant that caters to both those looking to indulge and those in need of a quick meal. Tawara is the perfect spot. The staff is very friendly and always ask about any food allergies or dietary preferences, such as vegetarian or vegan options. The food is absolutely delicious, particularly the cold noodles served with dipping sauce and the miso. If you see the pork chops on the menu, don't hesitate to order them—you won't regret it. Once you try them, you'll want to come back for more!
The restaurant boasts a beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff, and an extensive menu—what's not to love? They offer monthly specials that are always intriguing. The ramen is delightful and ideal for a chilly lunch. Some of my personal favorites include the unajyu (eel served over rice) and beef negimaki (beef wrapped around scallions). They also have private tatami rooms available for larger gatherings, where you'll need to take off your shoes, but be sure to make a reservation for the weekends.
My family and I have been visiting this restaurant for many years. Although I hadn't gone for a while, my friend and I, both mothers, decided to treat ourselves to some sushi. We celebrated motherhood by booking a private Tatami room with two other friends. We had an amazing time and truly enjoyed the entire experience. When the bill arrived, we were shocked at how affordable everything was! I can't wait for more girls' nights here!
